A Wallingford man was arrested this week after police say he drove drunk and yelled at a pedestrian on Main Street in Middletown.
Zachary Gulley, 22, of Ridgeland Road, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to obey a traffic control signal on Monday.
Shortly after 1 a.m. on May 27, according to a police report, Gulley turned onto Main Street in Middletown from Court Street without using his signal and accelerated rapidly.
While driving, the report says, Gulley was hanging out of his driver's side door yelling at a pedestrian.
When police pulled Gulley over he smelled of alcohol, the report says. When asked for his identification and insurance Gulley told police he had offered them already, according to the report.
Gulley admitted to the officer that he had consumed two beers at Mezzo's Grille but his blood alcohol levels tested at .182 and .164, the report says.
Gulley is due in court next month.
