Popular Pizzeria Closes In Wallingford

The restaurant is closing its doors for good after 12 years in business, the owners announced.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Minervini's Pizzeria has closed after 12 years in business, the owners announced Friday night.

Minervini's, located at 73 Quinnipiac St., had been temporarily closed for renovations. But the owners cited “costly repairs” and rising costs as factors in deciding not to re-open.

“As most of you must have noticed we’ve been closed to do some renovations,” reads a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page. “After running into some costly repairs we’ve decided that we just can’t put anymore into it. It’s been difficult with the rising costs of food, utilities and finding workers. So unfortunately we had to make a decision. Wallingford has been our business home for 12 years we made lots of friends who we considered family and we would like to thank everyone for your support.
