Popular Restaurant Closing After 20 Years In Wallingford: Report
The owners are closing the restaurant's storefront location this week, according to a report.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Popular downtown restaurant Tata’s is closing its storefront location on May 19 after 20 years in business in Wallingford, according to the Record-Journal.
While the dine-in location is closing, fans of the restaurant will still be able to get its authentic Puerto Rican cuisine through its food truck, according to the Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports the owners decided to close the storefront and shift to catering and serving takeout from the food truck. They cited the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, including rising costs and staffing issues, as factors in the decision to close the storefront, according to the Record-Journal.
