Occupation:

I have over 25 years as a Marketing professional. I currently work with my husband at Regan Technologies. I am also the Executive Director at The Regan Foundation which provides assistance to our community and veterans who are transitioning back into civilian life.

Family:
I've been married to my incredible husband Chris for 24 years.
We have 3 adult children - Evelyn, Adam, and Aaron.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
My husband Chris is a town councilor for the town of Wallingford and is also seeking re-election.

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
I've proudly served on the Board of Education since 2022.

Why are you seeking this office?
Wallingford has become my home. After raising my family here, I wanted to continue helping the community. Being on the Board of Education is challenging at times and I've grown to appreciate the effort and dedication of our board. I want to keep our momentum going.

Our schools need so much physical work. Our students deserve better places to learn and our educators deserve better places to teach. Physical space impacts everything from mental health to test scores. We owe our community a thriving learning environment.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is the mental health crisis in our schools. The mental health crisis in students is a nationwide problem. Providing our students with a secure and safe learning environment is just the beginning to improving mental health. I intend to continue to advocate for school improvements and to support our central office and schools with their priorities when it comes to mental health.

This is not something the Board of Education can accomplish on our own. This must be a collaborative effort between the Board, Central Office, the schools, and our community.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Candidates promise a lot. But the reality is the Board of Education is tasked with very specific responsibilities. Electing someone to the Board of Education on the hope of a promise they have no power to fulfill is a waste of a valuable vote.

I understand school systems, budgets, and how to effectively communicate. I do not have a personal agenda or party promises. Idealism is important, but experience matters more.
