Wallingford Swimmer Competed In Olympic Trials
One local resident took part in the U.S. Olympic Trials last week.

Wallingford, CT - Two young swimmers caught Olympic fever and have even greater inspiration to compete in the games one day.
Karl Bishop of Cheshire and David May of Wallingford participated in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials last week, according to The Record-Journal.
The swimmers traveled to Omaha, Nebraska, for the June 26 to July 3 trials, along with their Sea Dogs Coach Sean Farrell.

The coach told The Journal that although his swimmers didn't qualify for the Olympic Team, this was the top competition they could have taken part in.
According to the Journal, the young swimmers finished well. Bishop came in 63rd place in the 1,500 freestyle and 81st place in the 400 freestyle. May came in 89th place in the 200 individual medley.
