WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford woman was arrested Thursday in connection with a months-long investigation into drug sales in town, according to police.

The investigation was launched in the spring after detectives developed information regarding Brittany Wambolt’s “suspected involvement in illegal drug activity,” according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.

Jaques said probable cause was established and detectives obtained two arrest warrants and a search-and-seizure warrant on her home.

Detectives executed the search warrant on Wambolt’s home on North Turnpike Road on Friday, resulting in the “seizure of narcotics and additional evidence related to drug sales,” according to Jaques.

Wambolt, 34, was arrested on three counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count each of tampering with physical evidence, interfering with an officer, illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
