“The Wallingford Detective Unit conducted the investigation and viewed footage that captured Rivera operating a black Chevrolet Camaro,” Torres wrote in a news release. “Rivera was driving with the victim on the hood of the Camaro at a high rate of speed. While the Camaro was in motion, the victim fell off the hood and hits the pavement where he lays motionless. Rivera momentarily glanced down at the victim, then fled the scene.”

Rivera was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, and reckless driving. She was held in lieu of a $250,000 bond and was due in court on Thursday.
