13 Charged In Major West Hartford PD Enforcement Sweep: Police

In addition to arrests, the West Hartford PD seized multiple drug stashes, guns, and cash from drug sales.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police this week fanned out and made a serious dent in the number of outstanding suspects wanted for street-level crime, resulting in the confiscation of drugs and guns.

According to the West Hartford Police Department, officers on Jan. 6 conducted a major sweep targeting street-level offenses and warrant services in the town of West Hartford."

The department recently announced the results of that campaign.

West Hartford officers and detectives conducting the operation made the following:

• 41 motor vehicle stops

• Four felony arrests

• Three misdemeanor arrests

• Arrested a male party wanted on a violent domestic assault warrant

• Served two failure-to-appear warrants

• Arrested three adult males for the sale of narcotics.

In addition to charges against suspects, the following evidence was seized during the operation:

• Over $12,000 in suspected narcotics sales proceeds

• 250 bags of fentanyl,

• 39.5g “crack cocaine,”

• 39.2g powder cocaine,

• 11 Oxycodone pills,

• 16 ecstasy pills

• 3.5g PCP.

• Two illegal firearms, one fitted with an auto “switch” and an extended magazine
