Distance Runner From West Hartford Second At New England Championships

BOSTON, MA — A distance runner from Conard High School in West Hartford wound up in second place Saturday at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.

In the 1,600-meter run, senior Tess Sherry broke the 5-minute barrier, crossing the finish line in 4:59.94. Twin sister Liv Sherry was third in the 1,000-meter run.

For Hall, the 4 x 800 relay team of Jonah Schulman, Donovan Connole, Matthew Connole and Yohannes Dewander placed fifth.
