Today in West Hartford: Farmers Market, Town Council Meets, Learn About 'Going Paleo'

Five things to help you plan your day on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

Good morning, West Hartford! Today is Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

  1. The West Hartford Town Council meets only twice during the summer months, and one of those meetings will take place tonight at 6:30 p.m. in Room 314 of Town Hall. The major issue on the agenda will be a proposal to replace the existing buildings at 15-17 North Main St. with a single mixed-use office building that may contain a bank on the ground floor. A public hearing on that application, which was unanimously rejected by the Town Planning and Zoning Commission, will precede the Town Council meeting at 5:30 p.m. Click here for the complete agenda.
  2. Have you ever eating according to the "Paleo" lifestyle? (Do you even know what that is?) "Facts and myths" about the Paleo lifestyle will be covered during a free workshop at Advanced Chiropractic, located at 1022 Boulevard.
  3. Need something fun to do with the little ones? The Bishops Corner Branch of the West Hartford Public Library has "Night Time Story Time" every Tuesday, from 6:30 - 7 p.m. in the Senior Center.
  4. Vegetables, fruits, flowers, cheeses and more are available at the West Hartford Farmer's Market at the corner of Arapahoe and LaSalle. Tuesday hours are 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  5. "Laughterhouse Five" will entertain with a free comedy improv show on the stage of Blue Back Square's courtyard on Tuesday from 2 - 3 p.m.
