WEST HARTFORD, CT — On Nov. 4, West Hartford residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions in town.
Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming municipal election.
Same-day voter registration

If you are not registered, but want to vote on Election Day, you may register in person on Election Day at your Election Day Registration site. People must be registered by 8 p.m. to vote using Election Day registration.

Polls in Connecticut are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Here are the local candidates:
Town council (Vote for up to six)
Democrats: Ben Wenograd, Shari Cantor*, Tiffani McGinnis, Barry Walters, Deb Polun, and Lisa Lazarus.
Republicans: John Lyons, Alberto Cortes*, Kyle Zelazny*, Benjamin Lewis, Gayle Harris, and Sijie Jason Wang.
Board of Education (Vote for up to three)
Democrats: Jennifer Herz, Jonathan Weiner, and Jason Gagnon
Republicans: Miriam Bleich
