West Hartford Election Results 2023: Dems Continue Their Hold

The Democrats easily kept control on the West Hartford Town Council

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The numbers are in and the Democrats have easily retained their stranglehold on the town's top elected body.

West Hartfod's 2023 election results were posted on the Connecticut Secretary of the State's office website overnight.

They include (confirmed winners bolded):

Town Council

For town council, voters had to choose up to six people for the nine seats up for grabs.

Democratic candidates were:

Shari Cantor - 9,685

Ben Wenograd - 9,237

Deb Polun - 8,903

Tiffani McGinnis - 8,846

Carol A. Blanks - 8,761

Barry Walters - 8,323

Republican candidates were:

Mark Zydanowicz - 3,601

Mary Fay -3,559

Alberto Cortes -3,286

Aaron Sarwar - 3,153

The A Connecticut Party council hopeful was:

Rick Bush - 2,033

Town Clerk

Democrat Leon S. Davidoff ran unopposed and earned 10,192 votes

Board of Education — Full term (Vote for two)

The Democratic candidates were:

Shannon Marimon - 8,684

LaToya Fernandez - 7,637

The Republican candidates were:

Kyle Zelanzy - 2,769

Ethan Goldman -3,501

The A Connecticut Party candidates were:

Roni Rodman - 985

Kristyn Rosen-Jacobs - 1,046

Board of Education — 2-year vacancy

Democrat Jason Gagnon ran unopposed and earned 9,887 votes.
