West Hartford: Before Giving E-Bikes For Holidays, Do Some Research
The Town of West Hartford is urging folks planning to gift an e-bike to study up on safety and the state's rules/regulations on them.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town-wide push for improved pedestrian and motorist safety is urging folks to exercise caution and common sense if they're purchasing an e-bike for a holiday gift.
The Town of West Hartford's Vision Zero initiative and its supporters recently sent out a video explaining the dos and don'ts regarding e-bikes and e-bike safety.

"With the holiday shopping season upon us, we wanted to share this important information from WatchForMeCTregarding the purchase of e-bikes and e-scooters for children," wrote the town.
WatchForMeCT is a website on e-bike rules and regulations, as well as safety tips.

"Bicycle and pedestrian safety are of utmost importance to us. West Hartford's Vision Zero Action Plan aims to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries from traffic-related crashes by 2033."
