West Hartford Senior Center Hosts Senior Day & Health Fair

From West Hartford Senior Center: West Hartford’s Senior Center Director, Gina Marino, was thrilled to see over 400 attendees come through the door for our Senior Day & Health Fair, held Wednesday, May 17 from 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 PM. The event is co-sponsored by Brookdale Senior Living Solutions and West Hartford Bloomfield Health District.

“This was our 20 th Annual Senior Day and Health Fair, it’s our most successful yet! The weather was perfect and having the screenings at our facility was truly convenient for our attendees”.

Participants were greeted with a complimentary continental breakfast courtesy of Brookdale Senior Living Solutions. There were over 48 Vendors of Senior Services in attendance representing home health agencies, retirement communities, specialty services and more. The information disseminated was truly valuable for our members.

Many members took advantage of the Preventative Health Screenings Sponsored by West Hartford/Bloomfield Health District. Screenings included: balance, cholesterol, mood & memory, blood pressure, urinalysis, dental, vision, diabetes, nutrition, senior safety. There was even complimentary Chair Massages & Reiki.
