WEST HAVEN, CT — The 2025 municipal election is heating up in West Haven with plenty of races on the ballot.
Voters will cast their ballots in the Nov. 4 election for the position of mayor, along with seats on the City Council, Board of Education and more.

No
Previous public office, appointive or elective:
Member of the City of West Haven Charter Revision Commission
Why are you seeking this office?
I have always had a desire to serve the community. I believe in the City of West Haven, our city government, our employees and most importantly our citizens. I support the vision and initiatives Mayor Borer has for our community and if elected, I want to keep the City moving forward in the right direction
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
Quality of life. If elected, it will be my job to ensure that the opportunities, programs and initiatives already established within our City are maintained, funded, utilized and supported.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I can’t speak about any other candidates. I know that I will continue to bring, honesty, transparency and commitment.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
There are environmental concerns that have been brought to my attention. I intend on following up with those concerns and work collaboratively with our administration to facilitate solutions if possible.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I was Union President of Hamden Firefighters Local 2687. I served on our Executive Board for over 20 years. I have experience dealing with labor management issues, budgeting, contract negotiations and interaction with City departments.
I have been a member of West Haven Elks Lodge #1537 for 29 years. I was Exhaulted Ruler in 2001 and served on the Board of Trustees for over 20 years. I served as Chairman of the board for many years.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Be open minded
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
In 1989, West Haven took me in as a college student at the University of New Haven. From that point forward, I was welcomed, embraced and shown time and time again how wonderful our community is. I have never been in a more supportive and caring community than West Haven. I want to give back what was shown and given to me throughout the years.
