ABC Language Services Merges with The Language Link of Connecticut

Merger creates one-stop shop for document translation and language interpretation services.

In a move to increase its document translation capabilities, ABC Language Services has merged with Language Link of Connecticut. The merger, which became official March 1, 2024, allows ABC Language Services to better meet the translation needs of its clients which include government agencies, law firms, medical practices, social services, corporations and other businesses. Both companies will continue to operate under their existing names but will now share all resources and operations.

This is the first time in ABC’s 23-year history that it has merged with another language company. ABC saw a growing demand for accurate translations of official documents, engineering manuals, and other specialized materials. Knowing Language Link of Connecticut had developed a great system and process around such translation work, ABC knew this merger would allow it to become a one stop shop for existing clients and would help it serve more corporate clients.

“This is an ideal partnership between our two companies because of our complementary strengths and our similar approach to quality and customized service,” said Sanjay Kamani, Vice President at ABC Language Services. “We each have built highly reputable businesses that are focused on communication and clarity which now can move forward together as a more robust partnership. It is a great change for our employees, interpreters, translators, and clients.”

Both ABC Language Services and Language Link of Connecticut match the unique talents and backgrounds of an interpreter or translator to each client request to ensure suitability. These professional interpreters and translators familiarize themselves with each client’s subject matter and technical requirements to avoid misunderstandings and to deliver clarity. All interpreters and translators are engaged to pay careful attention to detail and to meet all deadlines in a professional manner.

“In addition to being a leader in the translation services business, we have developed a proprietary project management system that has allowed us to ensure exceptional service to clients,” said Andy Werner, founder of Language Link of Connecticut. “We will now share this management system with our partner ABC Language Services to the benefit of both unique businesses and to secure future expansion.”
