Missing North Branford Woman Found Dead In Wethersfield Marsh: PD
Police found the body of 80-year-old Mary Herbert Wednesday morning. No foul play is suspected, and her death is under investigation.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — An 80-year-old woman who was reported missing from North Branford has been found dead in a Wethersfield marsh, police said.
Wethersfield detectives found Mary Herbert in the marsh at around 8:26 a.m. Wednesday, the Wethersfield police department said. She was pronounced deceased there.
On Tuesday afternoon, Herbert's Toyota Corolla was found in the marsh, which is adjacent to Routes 5/15 northbound.

Though police weren't able to find her that afternoon, Wethersfield detectives returned to the area this morning, where they found her body, police said.

Police said they don't suspect any foul play, but they said North Branford detectives have been assigned to investigate her death.
Herbert was reported missing on Sunday after a family member was unable to get in touch with her for several days, police said.

When officers checked her house, they found that she was not at home, nor was her Toyota Corolla.
"We would like to thank the countless efforts of Wethersfield PD and FD as well as the Connecticut State Police and all those involved in this incident," the North Branford police department wrote on Facebook. "Our heart felt sorrow is extended to the Herbert Family."
