Aaron Ramsey Sentenced to 50 Years in Mental Institution

A Stamford judge said Wednesday that Ramsey was in an "acute psychotic condition" when he bludgeoned and stabbed his father to death, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Wilton resident Aaron Ramsey, who was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder of his 73-year-old father Edward Ramsey in December, was sentenced to 50 years in a state mental institution by a Stamford judge on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Judge Richard Comerford said Wednesday that Ramsey was in an "acute psychotic condition" when he bludgeoned and stabbed his father to death in their home and had a history of mental issues since the age of 19, the Advocate reports.
