American Cancer Society Thanks the Wilton Community
A thank you to the more than 730 people who helped in raising more than $172,500 for the American Cancer Society's research, education, advocacy, and service programs.
Dear Editor:
As the staff person for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Wilton, I would like to extend my appreciation to the many individuals that attended and supported this year’s event. More than 730 people participated, raising more than $172,500 for the American Cancer Society’s research, education, advocacy, and service programs. The outstanding support received proves that Relay For Life Planning Committee of Wilton is truly committed to the fight against cancer.
I want to applaud the 48 survivors who participated in the opening lap and survivor reception. They are the reason we continue the fight, because each year there can be more and more people living wonderful lives following a diagnosis of cancer.
A special thanks to the many Relay For Life volunteers who worked to make this event a success. We also appreciate the generosity of our sponsors, and especially the Town of Wilton.
