Connecticut State Veteran Memorial Open for 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor

The memorial is dedicated to all of Connecticut's veterans that served.

From the office of Senator Toni Boucher: On this 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, we take time to reflect how this devastating event changed Connecticut, our nation, and the world. So few of our cherished WWII veterans are still with us, making the remembrance of this day and the sacrifices they made all the more important. We must never forget that our veterans paid dearly for the freedoms we cherish today. I visited the USS. Arizona, which is an underwater and solemn memorial to the “day that will live in infamy” a few years ago and was so moved. I hope you will take time to visit the Connecticut State Veteran Memorial website at http://www.cthonorsvets.org to learn about the memorial dedicated to all of Connecticut’s veterans.
