Echoes of Sinatra Performance and Gathering of the Vibes

Here are a few things to know about Wilton on Thursday, July 25, to help you plan your day. Check out the Patch calendar of events for more things to do.
- The weather: The forecast is predicting evening showers, but a high of 73 degrees and a 30 percent chance of rain.
- Hear some good vibes: The Gathering of the Vibes festival begins at noon and continues through Sunday in Bridgeport. There are bands and activities for the whole family, including hair wraps, a Ferris wheel and arts and crafts, with weekend camping passes priced at $225. Visit the event page for more information.
- Enjoy some free tunes and refreshments: The Wilton Library is holding a Frank Sinatra tribute performance from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Brubeck Room as part of its Summer Music and More Concert Series. Echoes of Sinatra with Steve Kazlauskas is free and open to the public with wine provided by Michael Crystal.
- Learn about antique toys: There is a free lecture about the toys and dolls in the Wilton Historical Society's "75 Objects, 75 Years" exhibit at noon. Toy curator Mary Lou Logan will talk about why the objects were chosen to be part of the collection, as well as explain Raggedy Ann and Andy's connection to Wilton as new Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls are introduced to the collection. Desserts and beverages will be provided, but bring your own lunch.
- Check out local art for free: The Sixth Annual Members Exhibit at City Lights Gallery in Bridgeport will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Some of the artists will be at the event for you to talk to as well. For more information, visit the City Lights Gallery website.
