Loss included skid steer tractor loader.

Written by Harold F. Cobin

A construction company building a home at 89 Cannon Rd. reported about $24,000 in equipment was stolen from the site sometime between 6 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Included in the theft was a New Holland C-175 skid steer tractor loader. Also taken were two electrical panels worth $3,600, multiple spools of wire worth $420 and miscellaneous tools.

Capt. John Lynch said the tractor loader was driven off the property and officers followed the muddy track it left behind to a spot between Springbrook Lane and Seely Road, where it apparently was loaded onto a trailer or heavy truck.

Anyone with information concerning the theft is asked to call Wilton detectives at (203) 834-6260.
