Flash Flooding Possible in Wilton Friday, Saturday


The National Weather Service is forecasting a minimum of 2 to 4 inches of rain to fall in Wilton over the next couple days.

flash flood watch is in effect from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon, as of 3:44 a.m. Friday.

The heaviest rain is expected Friday afternoon through early Saturday, the service warns. Maximum hourly rates could reach around one inch.

Urban and poor drainage areas will be particularly vulnerable to flash flooding, according to the service.
