Iconic NYC News Anchor Michele Marsh Dies In Connecticut
A woman who challenged the narrative in New York City Broadcasting, Marsh was a prominent anchor for nearly 30 years.

A female pioneer in the male-dominated New York City TV News market died this week at her Connecticut home, according to multiple media reports. Michele Marsh died this week in South Kent of complications from breast cancer, according to her son John Paschall.
Marsh served as the anchor of CBS' flagship station WCBS, alternating as anchor and correspondent for 17 years. After what the New York Times referred to as "a housecleaning," she moved on to WNBC where she anchored until 2003.
She rose to prominence at San Antonio's KSAT, where she required guards to fend off her admirers, reports the New York Times. She started her career in Bangor, ME, after graduating from Northwestern in 176.
