8/11: A Danbury man, Adelino Barata, 31, turned himself in after receiving a notification letter sent out by the Wilton Police Department informing him of an outstanding warrant for his arrest, police said. The warrant stemmed from an unspecified motor vehicle related incident which occurred in July 2008. Barata posted a $1,000 bond and was given a promise to appear in court, according to the report.

Police said that they use a PRAWN system, or Paperless Re-Arrest Warrant Network, which stores outstanding warrant information online.
