Man Arrested For Assaulting Woman In Front Of Child, Wilton Police Say: Report

Police say the incident was reported by a concerned motorist who was passing by.

WILTON, CT — A Brookfield man faces domestic violence charges after he allegedly restrained a woman from leaving his car on Danbury Road, reports the News Times. Police arrested 25-year-old Donald Karagianes in connection with the assault, which took place in front of a five-year-old child.

The female victim told police she and Karagianes had gotten into an argument and she asked to be let out of the vehicle. When she tried to get out, Karagianes allegedly restrained her from doing so and got physical with her.

The incident was seen by a motorist who called police at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
