Man Falsely Reported Gunman At Wilton Peace Parade: Police
A man is facing charges in Wilton after police say he falsely reported the presence of a gunman near the "March For Peace" parade in May.
WILTON, CT — A Stratford man is facing charges in Wilton after police say he falsely reported the presence of a gunman near the "March For Peace" parade in May.
Louis Reed, 47, turned himself in at Wilton Police HQ on Sept. 28 on a warrant for second degree false reporting.
The warrant followed an investigation begun on May 18, when police say Reed called 911 reporting there was a man carrying a long gun near the parade.

Police released Reed after he posted 7 percent of his $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Oct. 8.
