Man Walks off with Power Washer, Car vs Tree on Route 7, Dine-and-Dashers

7/31: Two males ordered sandwiches and beers at Tootzy Patza Pizza at 6:30 p.m., running up a tab of about $34, police said. But the two men, who were described as being in their early twenties, pulled the nefarious dine-and-dash move, running off without paying the bill.

8/1: A woman involved in a domestic dispute was charged with assault in the third degree, criminal trespassing, and interfering with a 911 call, according to reports. Police said a 27-year-old female of Danbury was involved with a dispute at a resident’s home on Belden Hill Road earlier that day, and was told not to return by both Wilton Police and the homeowner. Police said the residence was her ex-husband’s house. About two and a half hours, she came back and got into an argument with a female resident of the household, wherein the accused scratched the resident and grabbed and threw the other woman’s phone when she tried to call 911, police said. The woman is being held on a $1,000 bond before appearing in court, according to reports.

8/1: A man tried to walk out of Ring’s End Lumber with a Choremaster 2600 power washer after “making a small purchase” of other goods with his credit card, according to the police. The accused, Asdrubal Castrillou, said that he had forgotten to pay for the power washer and promised to come back and pay for it the next day, police said. Patch called Ring’s End and inquired about the matter; one of their managers said that the accused had come in to pay for the Choremaster, valued at about $500, but that they were still pressing charges. Police charged Castrillou with fifth degree larceny and issued him a promise to appear in court.

Car crash requres extrication

8/1: A vehicle driving on Route 7 near New Street in Georgetown lost control, careened off the road, and smashed into a tree, causing heavy damage to the vehicle and trapping the driver inside, according to police. The driver, Paul Osakwe, of Wilton, had to be extricated from his vehicle by the Georgetown Fire Department, according to reports. Osakwe was transported to the hospital for injuries which remain unspecified. He was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for conditions, according to the report.

Bike swiped

8/1: Police said a bike was stolen from the Wilton Train station.

DUIs

8/1: A vehicle was pulled over for suspended registration due to cancelled insurance, police reports say. Upon inspection, police said they found the vehicle’s driver, Stephen Parisi, 45, of Bridgeport, to be in possession of an undisclosed amount of marijuana. Parisi was arrested for driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia, according to the police report.

7/28: Police said they received “two separate motor vehicle complaints” about a vehicle, which they identified and pulled over. Subsequent inspection found that the driver, Donna Worrell, of Ridgefield, had “an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her person,” according to police reports. Police said Worrell failed sobriety rests and was placed into custody.  She was released with a promise to appear in court, reports say.

7/29: Police stopped a vehicle for speeding off Route 7 near Cannon Road and subsequently found the driver, Fredrick Hoag, 51, of Redding, to be intoxicated after he failed a sobriety test, according to police reports. Police charged Hoag with DUI, speeding, and failure to drive in the established lane; he was released on a promise to appear, according to the reports.

Follow up

Last week’s ” was case of misunderstanding. Police said that a terminated employee had been in possession of two company laptops, but since then he had returned the computers to the company.
