More Copper Stolen from Wilton Commons Construction Site
Three larcenies were reported in town last week.
For the third or fourth time, copper wire was stolen from the construction site of what will be Wilton Commons.
According to police, 5,000 feet of wire costing about $2,000, two surveillance cameras costing $500 each and extension cords valued at $240 were stolen from the construction site sometime during the overnight hours between March 6 and March 7.
The incident was reported to police at 7:06 a.m. on March 7 from the construction site at 21 Station Road.

A slew of construction tools, collectively valued at about $865, were stolen from a jobsite on Cobbs Mill Road sometime between the overnight hours between March 6 and March 7.
According to police, a variety of saws, drills, sanders, planers, a sledgehammer and a broom were stolen from a construction trailer.
The case remains under investigation.

Approximately $700 of cash was stolen from the register at Georgetown Shell last week.
According to police, on March 6 at about 6:25 p.m. the manager went outside to help a female, who was about 25-years-old and was driving a blue Scion TC. When the manager returned, the cash was missing.
The suspect is described as a white male, possibly Hispanic, who is 5’7’’ and 200 pounds. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood and a baseball hat.
The case remains under investigation.
