Paving Work on Route 7 to Continue Until September 13

The following is a letter addressed to the Wilton community from Lieutenant Donald Wakeman of the Wilton Police Department.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation will be commencing a milling and paving project this week along Route 7, beginning in Norwalk in the vicinity of the Merritt 7 complex and proceeding north into Wilton and ending at Wolfpit Road.

The project work hours are Monday through Thursday beginning at 8 p.m. each evening and going until 5 a.m. the next morning, and on Fridays beginning at 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. Saturday.

The project is tentatively set to complete by September 13,2011.

Police officers and flag personnel will be present each night to assist motorists; however some delays should be expected.
