Road Work on Wolfpit and River Road to Start Monday from 7 a.m-3:30 p.m.

A project to expand a gas pipeline into Wilton Center by Yankee Gas is expected to begin on Monday July 18. The project will entail digging a trench in order to bury the pipe and begin at the intersection of Wolfpit Road and Horseshoe Road and proceed north through Horseshoe Road, River Road, Old Ridgefield Road and Center Street before ending at Ridgefield Road (Route 33). The trench digging will proceed at approximate intervals of two hundred feed.

The project hours are tentatively set from 7 a.m until 3:30p.m.

The project is expected to be on-going for a two month period.

Motorists should expect traffic delays in the area of the construction zone and are asked to avoid that are if possible.
