Second Parent Meeting Set On Anti-Semitic Incidents in Wilton

The school is in the midst of investigating three anti-Semitic events this month.

WILTON, CT — A second parent meeting will be held in response to the recent wave of anti-Semitic incidents at the Middlebrook School, reports the Wilton Bulletin. According to the report, parents will meet Thursday in the auditorium to discuss with administrators and other professionals.

School officials are investigating three incidents of anti-Semitic behavior which all occurred during the month of October. Swastikas were found written in boys bathrooms on two separate occasions before the words "Jews Will Burn" were found written on a note in a Jewish student's locker.

Superintendent Kevin Smith informed parents that Principal Lauren Feltz spoke to sixth grade yellow team members and addressed the issues. Smith added he and First Selectman Lynne Vanderslice would conduct several events to confront the issue.
