Speakers Stolen from Second Story Deck, DUIs

7/12: Police received a complaint that a resident on Wilton Woods Road had two Bose outside speakers, which were mounted, stolen from the second floor deck. Police said there was no sign of forced entry to the house. The speakers are valued at about $300, according to police reports.

7/16: Police reports indicate that a vehicle was stopped for traveling on the right shoulder of Route 7, near Old Mill Road. Upon inspection it was found that a 17-year-old male of Woodbury, CT, was intoxicated with alcohol and was in the possession of alcohol and cigarettes. Policed charged the youth offender with DUI under 21, DUI, failure to drive right, possession of liquor by a minor, possession of cigarettes by a minor and violation of restrictions for tee driers. He was released with a promise to appear in court, according to police reports.

7/17: Police observed a vehicle headed southbound on Danbury Road/Route 7 swerving between lane divider lines, according to police reports. Upon inspection, police found the driver, Jeffery Kravet, 51, of Stamford, to be intoxicated after failing standardized sobriety tests, according to reports. When he was transported to the police department, police reports say that he was found to have an elevated blood alcohol content. Police charged Kravet with failure to drive right and operating under the influence. He was released on a promise to appear in court, according to the report.
