WILTON, CT — A 17-year-old teenage boy from Cold Spring, NY, was arrested after he struck a tree and a mailbox. Police say the teenager fell asleep at the wheel and lost the control of the car while driving north on Danbury Road approaching Seeley Road. Police say the accused lost two left tires and continued straight off the road after he hit the tree. The teenager reported no injuries on scene and his vehicle was towed. He was charged with reckless driving and failure to drive in the proper lane and is due in court on Aug. 18. Image via the Wilton Police Department.
