Monday, Aug. 15 Area Author Affair—John J. Gilmore—Cocaineros Duel, 6 – 7 p.m. Drugs, mistaken identity, and mayhem - a great get-away-from-it-all kind of read, perfect for a lazy summer day! Come join local author John Gilmore as he discusses his recently published adventure with retired police detective Frank Reardon, in Costa Rica rebuilding his life after the murder of his wife. Light refreshments served to congratulate the author. No charge. Books available for purchase and signing. Registration suggested.
Thursday, Aug. 18 Summer Reading Celebration, 2 – 3 p.m. All children who participated in our summer reading program are invited to join us for this end-of-summer celebration. Heifer International will be joining us to talk about how your reading will help others around the world. Children will receive a reading certificate, have the chance to enter a raffle, and eat some tasty snacks. Sponsored by the Betsy and Jesse Fink Foundation for Wilton Library's Environmental Initiative. Registration required.
