Local Art, Live Music and a Culinary Challenge

Here are five things Wilton residents to need to know for Tuesday, July 30.

Here are a few things to know about Wilton on Tuesday, July 30, to help you plan your day. Check out the Patch calendar of events for more things to do.

  1. The weather: The forecast is predicting a high of 81 degrees and a 0 percent chance of rain.
  2. Listen to live music: Wilton Steel is scheduled to play Tuesday at Wilton Pizza and Marley's patio from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The band plays outdoors, and admission is free. See Wilton Steel's website for more details.
  3. Check out some local art: The Wilton Library 69th Annual Summer Show Exhibition is up through Aug. 30, so head to the library to see diverse work by more than 50 Wilton artists.
  4. Encourage your teen to take a culinary challenge: The Wilton Library is hosting a Teen Chef Challenge from 3 to 5 p.m. Teams of three or four kids, entering grades 6 through 12, will have the chance to create an appetizer, main dish and dessert with a basket of required foods and a pantry of add-ons to work with.
