Get Fresh Produce at the Farmers' Market, Learn About Bubbles

Here are a few things to know about Wilton on Wednesday, July 24, to help you plan your day. Check out the Patch calendar of events for more things to do.
- The weather: The forecast is predicting temperatures up to 83 degrees and a mostly sunny day, although there is a 20 percent chance of rain.
- Buy some fresh produce: The Wilton Farmers' Market is held every Wednesday from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at the Wilton Historical Society at 224 Danbury Rd. Stop buy to talk to local residents and get some fresh, local goods.
- Learn about bubbles: "Bubbleology" gives you the chance to see big soap bubble sculptures and learn how bubbles work and what they can do, as well as how to do a few bubble experiments at home. The Wilton Library will be hosting the free event from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday for grades K and up. Registration is required, so see the event page for more details.
- Take your kids out to support charity: Pump It Up of Norwalk is having the Great Open Jump Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. The event includes a magic show, a tour of a firetruck and a chance to meet Norwalk firemen and chance to touch animals like lizards, tree frogs and rabbits, as well as a raffle. It costs $10 per child, all of which goes toward Autism Speaks. For more information, click here.
- Submit art to be displayed: The Ridgefield Guild of Artists is holding its show Sept. 28 and is welcoming entries from artists of all mediums. Visit the event page for more information.
