A 22-year-old Wilton man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to obey a stop sign, failure to drive right and driving too fast for conditions following a one-car accident on Hulda Hill Road, near Branchbrook Road, on March 10 at 4:02 a.m.
According to police, Patrick Fagan crashed into a pole along Hulda Hill Road after crossing into the wrong lane. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be .179.
Fagan was released on a promise to appear in court March 21.
