Wilton Election 2017: Voter's Guide
The town will vote on several local positions on Nov. 7. Here is what you need to know.
WILTON, CT — With the state embroiled in its longest-ever budget impasse, the 2017 municipal elections will be instrumental in the town's direction. On Nov. 7, residents will hit the polls and vote for various local positions. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Here is a breakdown of what you need to know.
Candidates

Applications must be postmarked or received by a voter registration agency by the 7th day before an election, which is Oct. 31. However, if you miss the deadline for registering for an election, Connecticut now offers same-day voter registration. You can register and vote in person on Election Day at your town's Election Day Registration location. You can contact your local registrars of voters for information.
Where do I vote?

Here are your polling locations in Wilton:
- District 1: Wilton High School, Wilton High School Field House(395 Danbury Rd.), 143rd Assembly District, 26th State Senate, 4th Congressional District.
- District 2: Cider Mill School Gym, 240 School Rd., 125th Assembly District, 26th State Senate, 4th Congressional District.
- District 3: Middlebrook School Gym, 131 School Rd., 143rd Assembly District, 26th State Senate, 4th Congressional District.
Absentee Ballots
You can vote by absentee due to the following reasons:
- Illness or physical disability
- Absence from town during all election hours
- Religious beliefs forbidding secular activity on election day
- Serving as an election official at a polling place other than your own
- Active service in the Armed Forces
