After the fire, Alison Cubbellotti, created a Youcaring account. She wrote, "On Saturday, September 30th, the unthinkable happened. I woke up to hear the news that my cousin's house in Oxford, CT was engulfed in flames. I am so thankful that she and her 3 children, her niece and the family dog were able to get out safely. My cousin's husband was minutes down the road visiting family from out of town and rushed to their side. We are so grateful that everyone is safe and healthy."
