Wilton police report a failure-to-appear case and a DUI connected to two crashes
WILTON, CT — Wilton police released details on two incidents reported between Nov. 26 and Nov. 27, including a failure-to-appear case and a driving under the influence charge stemming from two separate collisions.
On Nov. 27, officers on patrol located a 1997 Ford F-150 in a parking lot at 23 Danbury Road. Police identified the driver as Patrick Brennan, 40, of Sharon, and determined that a court order had been issued by the Litchfield Judicial District in connection with a second-degree failure to appear charge tied to an earlier sixth-degree larceny case.
Brennan was transported to police headquarters, processed, and later released after a relative posted 7 percent of a $5,000 bond. He is due in court on Dec. 10.

On Nov. 26, police responded to Millstone Road near Spectacle Lane after receiving a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a green Kia Sport. The driver, Dennis Bubbico, 46, of Norwalk, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and acknowledged drinking before driving while also taking an anxiety medication, police said.
Police said Bubbico did not complete the standardized field sobriety tests to standard and was charged with DUI. In Connecticut, the legal blood alcohol content limit for driving is 0.08 percent for those 21 and older.
