Wilton Police To Host Awards Ceremony Next Monday
Twenty-three officers are set to receive awards for their contributions in 2012.

Twenty-three of Wilton's Finest are set to receive awards at the police department's annual ceremony next week.
Each year, the department presents its officers with various awards, including Police Officer of the Year. Other awards include Medal of Valor, Medal of Honor, Meritorious Police Service, Emergency Medical Service and Citation of Commendation.

The following officers will receive awards, according to Captain John Lynch:

- Lieutenant Don Wakeman
- Officer Timothy Fridinger
- Detective Scott Sear
- Officer Anthony Cocco
- Sergeant James Dempsey
- Officer Robert Nosal
- Officer Daniel Sell
- Officer Stephen Sisenstein
- Officer Anna Tornello
- Officer Paul Lichtenberger
- Captain John Lynch
- Lieutenant Stephen Brennan
- Officer Robert Cipolla
- Officer Edward Dolenk
- Officer Steven Gelineau
- Sergeant Thomas Tunney
- Officer Joseph Calorossi
- Officer Shawn Frendt
- Sergeant William Tanner
- Detective Peter Trahan
- Officer David Hartman
The awards ceremony, which is open to the public, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Trackside. It is sponsored by the Wilton Police Department and the Wilton Rotary Club.
