Wilton Police To Host Awards Ceremony Next Monday

Twenty-three of Wilton's Finest are set to receive awards at the police department's annual ceremony next week.

Each year, the department presents its officers with various awards, including Police Officer of the Year. Other awards include Medal of Valor, Medal of Honor, Meritorious Police Service, Emergency Medical Service and Citation of Commendation. 

The following officers will receive awards, according to Captain John Lynch:

• Officer Paul Lichtenberger
• Captain John Lynch
• Lieutenant Stephen Brennan
• Officer Robert Cipolla
• Officer Edward Dolenk
• Officer Steven Gelineau
• Sergeant Thomas Tunney

The awards ceremony, which is open to the public, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at Trackside. It is sponsored by the Wilton Police Department and the Wilton Rotary Club.
