It's been a busy day at Scoops on Old Ridgefield Road— after all, was pretty darn hot Monday afternoon.
If you got there after 2 p.m. you might have been disappointed that one of the shop's most popular flavors ran out (don't worry though—they were working to replenish it!) and it's easy to see why: Swamp is a crazy concoction of vanilla ice cream mixed with crushed chocolate covered malt balls, chocolate chips, Oreo crumbs, caramel and M&Ms.
Scoops employee Jillian Finkelstein says that salted caramel and watermelon sherbet were also popular on Monday, but that her personal favorite is swamp, of course.
Scoops, which has been a staple in Wilton since the 1982, offers 14 different flavors everyday, including staples like chocolate and vanilla. It rotates four to five seasonal flavors, such as the watermelon sherbet during the summer and pumpkin during fall.
The stores candy selection is also seasonal: right now you can get gummies in the shape of a lobster, a flip flop and a butterfly.
