Here are a few things to know about Wilton on Wednesday, July 31, to help you plan your day. Check out the Patch calendar of events for more things to do.
- The weather: The forecast is predicting a high of 82 degrees and a 20 percent chance of rain.
- Learn about port and sherry: Head to Ancona's Wines and Liquors Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. to learn about making mixed drinks using port and sherry. The event is free, but be sure to RSVP. More information here.
- Talk to an author with Wilton ties: Dorothy H. Hayes, author of "Murder at the P&Z," will be at the Norwalk Public Library Wednesday. Her new mystery novel references key locations and streets around Wilton and Norwalk. See the event page to register.
- Hold zoo animals: Children going into grades K and up and their caregivers are invited to meet and touch some live animals and rare animal artifacts from the Beardsley Zoo from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Wilton Library. Registration is required, so call 203-762-3950 to sign up.
