2 Juveniles Charged In Connection With Shooting Death In Windsor
A man was shot to death in a Windsor driveway early Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

WINDSOR, CT — What began as a call to police as a domestic disturbance Tuesday afternoon resulted in a man being shot to death and a pair of juvenile suspects later taken into custody in a neighboring town.
Shortly after 1 p.m., the Windsor Police Department received a 911 call with minimal information from an unidentified person in the 500 block of Bloomfield Avenue. The caller stated the incident was domestic related, but then disconnected the call, and callback attempts were unsuccessful, . Windsor Communications attempted to call the number back, but those attempts were unsuccessful, Lt. Nicholas Dally said.
A responding officer heard what appeared to be gunshots as he neared the residence, and on arrival, observed a male and female rushing into a blue Honda Accord parked at the base of the driveway. A male was simultaneously seen lying in the driveway, and as the car fled the area at a high rate of speed, the officer activated his emergency lights and sirens and pursued the vehicle, but he lost sight of it shortly after, Dally said.

Other officers arrived at the residence and discovered the fallen male had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately provided lifesaving efforts to the victim, who was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Dally said.
Information regarding the Honda was disseminated to surrounding agencies, and the Bloomfield Police Department began receiving 911 calls about a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of East Wintonbury Avenue and Barry Circle. Upon arrival, officers approached the vehicle and observed it was unoccupied, and the occupants had fled the scene. Windsor police confirmed the car was the same vehicle being sought in connection with the shooting, Dally said.

Around 10:55 p.m., the male and female were located on New Park Avenue in West Hartford and were taken into custody with the assistance of the West Hartford Police Department. The suspects are both juveniles, so their identities were not released, Dally said.
