Mail Carrier Robbed In Windsor: USPS

The U.S. Postal Service has issued a reward for information leading to the capture of two suspects.

WINDSOR, CT — A letter carrier was jumped by two suspects Monday in Windsor and robbed, with the U.S. Postal Service issuing a reward for the suspects' capture.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service division is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved in the armed robbery of the letter carrier.

Postal officials Wednesday said the incident occurred on Monday at approximately 4:07 p.m. on Seymour Street in Windsor.

Authorities said a letter carrier was approached by two subjects while delivering mail.

One subject, officials said, was described as a young Hispanic male wearing a black pullover hooded sweatshirt, a light-colored surgical mask and khaki pants.

The second subject was described as a young male dressed in all black with a black hooded sweatshirt and black ski mask.

Federal authorities said anyone who sees these individuals should report them to law enforcement and not try to intervene themselves.
