WINDSOR, CT — A man who police say stole a vehicle containing a young child from St. Gabriel School in Windsor Wednesday, robbed a nearby bank, then was killed when the vehicle crashed on Route 159 has been identified as an Enfield resident.

Andrew Wrann, 33, was identified Thursday by police as the person involved in the series of incidents, which began around 9:09 a.m. Wednesday with a report of a stolen vehicle from the parochial school on Bloomfield Ave. A 17-month-old child was in the back seat at the time, Lt. Nicholas Dally said.

Moments later, the Windsor Federal Savings Bank on Broad Street was robbed by a man later identified as Wrann. Just after that, the vehicle struck a tree on Windsor Avenue near Hillcrest Road, killing the driver, later identified as Wrann, Dally said.
