The age for full Social Security benefits is now 67, although you can collect partial benefits starting at 62, according to the Social Security Administration.
Some Republicans in Congress are trying to get the Medicare benefit age moved from 65 to 67 to save money and to match the Social Security benefits age.

On top of those changes, the economy has forced many workers to delay retirement or even to go back to work to make ends meet.
