WINDSOR, CT — This periodic informal series on Windsor Patch highlights businesses from the town's past and what those locations look like today.

The Windsor Historical Society has compiled digitized versions of the Windsor High School yearbook, Tunxis, dating back to 1951. Our initial offering takes us back a half-century, to page 169 of the 1974 edition, and brings back memories of a Route 75 car dealership: Olde Towne Lincoln Mercury.

Located just off exit 38 of Interstate 91, the dealership was owned by Bill Cahill. He sold cars for a number of years in the 1970s and early 1980s.

The space at 645 Poquonock Avenue currently contains a small shopping plaza, built in 1985. It has been owned by North Central Square LLC since 1997, according to town property records.

Current tenants in the plaza include Wine Loft Too, Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center, Pizza Rama, Villari's Martial Arts Center and Subway.
