Public Hearing on Town Budget Set for Monday

Town Manager Peter Souza will present his budget proposal for the next fiscal year.

A public hearing has been scheduled for Mon., April 1 to field public input on the town's upcomin fiscal year.

In particular, the hearing will be held to provide time for those in town to make budget requests of the council ahead of department budget meetings scheduled to be held throughout the month of April.

April 3 - Board of Education, Revenues, Public Works, Landfill

April 8 - Safety Services, Recreation and Leisure Services, Library, Human Services, Child Care and Adult Day Care

April 10 - Board of Education, Health Services, Development Services, Community Development, Administrative Services, Town Suppoert for Education

April 17 - Public Comment, Information Services, General Government, General Services, Insurance Internal Service Fund, Capital Spending, Price Guide

April 22 - Public Comment, Review of previous town council questions and preliminary deliberations

April 24 - Town Council final deliberations and vote

May 14 - Recommended date for referendum

May 20 - Council sets tax rate

June 21 - Tax bill mailing

June 30 - End of current fiscal year
